Overall Opinion:
Overall, I’m super confused by Garnier Green Labs Canna-B Pore Perfecting Serum and what it’s trying to accomplish.
On one hand, I think it’s a cool concept to incorporate Cannabis Seed Oil into skincare products. On the other hand, I think it’s tackling a lot to try and replace a sunscreen, serum, and moisturizer with a single product.
For me, this definitely wasn’t a product that worked well. When I tried to use it in lieu of my moisturizer, my skin felt super uncomfortable. However, when I used it as a face serum only, the product was too heavy to layer my other face products on top of.
At the end of the day, this resulted in congested skin and no noticeable changes to my pore size, which was the only benefit listed for this face serum.
I personally don’t think this serum is a worthwhile product and would recommend looking elsewhere if a serum is what you’re after.
Detailed Opinion:
Texture/Feel
Since this is a serum, sunscreen, and moisturizer all wrapped in one, the texture is much more like a sunscreen or moisturizer.
This is how it felt both when applied to my skin, and when the product eventually absorbed into my skin. I felt like I had just applied sunscreen, or a very heavy moisturizer.
The product itself wasn’t uncomfortable to wear at first, but when used alone, it leaves your skin feeling itchy and in need of something more.
Application
Garnier Green Labs Canna-B Pore Perfecting Serum is a challenging product to incorporate into your daytime skincare routine.
Application itself is fairly straightforward—use one pump of product on clean, dry skin in your daytime skincare routine only. However, the issue is figuring out where to go from there.
As explained above, this doesn’t do an adequate job replacing your serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Instead, my skin felt itchy and in need of something more.
However, when I used it simply as a serum and layered my moisturizer on top of it, it was too heavy and overall, way too much product on my face.
Either way, it wasn’t comfortable to wear period.
Drying Time
The dry time is really long—about 30-45 seconds. I think this is mostly due to the fact that it has a texture more similar to a sunscreen or moisturizer instead of a face serum.
So for a sunscreen or moisturizer, the dry time is really fast! But for a face serum, it’s on the longer side to be sure.
Smell
Garnier Green Labs Canna-B Pore Perfecting Serum smells like sunscreen.
Immediate Results
Since this product is meant for daytime use only, I first used it in my morning skincare routine. My initial reaction was just how difficult it was to use. I wasn’t sure whether to use it alone or as a step in my routine.
Since my skin felt uncomfortable with the product on alone, I used it as a serum, only to find that it was too much product when I layered my moisturizer on top.
By that night, my skin was already reacting poorly to this formula. I saw congestion pop up all around my mouth and on my chin.
Long Term Results
Despite the initial congestion, I continued to use this serum cream for a week. Over the course of that time, I witnessed my skin continue to worsen.
The congestion around my mouth and on my chin was terrible, and it began to spread to my inner cheeks and around my nose, as well. I also didn’t see any change to my pore size, which is the only benefit this serum claimed to have.
Overall, I’m so disappointed with this product and was very happy when I decided to stop using it altogether.
Price/Value
Garnier Green Labs Canna-B Pore Perfecting Serum isn’t worth the money. I don’t think it makes sense as a face serum, and definitely not as a combo product either.
This product left my skin much worse off than before I started using it, so it’s without a doubt not worth the money.
Guarantee
